An update was available on i Tunes for the software which originally cost to add the apps to the original i Pod Touch.
That updates probably now free, try updating your software with i Tunes.
These software updates include bug fixes, support for new features and the latest versions of mac OS and Windows, and other improvements. In some (not very common) cases, you may need to restore your i Pod to factory settings before you can update its software.
By updating software, you accept updates which the developer has made to the software over time. When you upgrade your i Pod Touch software, it is completely reinstalling the software used to run it.
An updated version is often more advanced than the original. You can check for updates with software update by going to the Apple logo in the top left corner of the screen, and then choosing Software Update. When you jailbreak an i Pod Touch, you are only jailbreaking the software, not the actual i Pod.
To automatically install mac OS updates in the future, including apps that were downloaded separately from the App Store, select ”Automatically keep my Mac up to date.” Your Mac will notify you when updates require it to restart, so you can always choose to install those later.
The first generation i Pod Touch did not have the i Phone apps or the App Store.
