I will also say I've done the whole online dating thing and I've had a nice time meeting men from the area.
Super nice guys here in East TN..still looking for my needle in a haystack I think the "small town thing" has advantages and disavantages in dating.
I'm at a point where I'm probably going to take a step back from dating for a while because there does not seem to be any men without kids and isn't completely bitter and jaded from their 10 year relationship.32, never married, no kids, and in good shape. Have been single for about three years and was only seeing someone for about a year before that. 27 year old female here, I’ve had the same problem unfortunately.
As a guy, it seems everyone else around here is married or at least has kids. I’ve noticed that there’s just not enough eligible men here in Knoxville. I joined some but they only do stuff during the week it seems. But I've noticed the same problem you have but with women. if dating doesn't happen, at least meeting some cool new people does!
Online dating is okay I guess but doesn’t click for me personally.

One the one hand, when you meet someone, it usually turns out that you know someone who knows someone, etc. That will help us give you good neighborhood recommendations. I saw one good singles meetup with about 200 members. Can I sell or rent my current house in Atlanta, and 2. Have you thought about keeping your house in ATL and renting it?
You have the bar scene, the church singles scene (some of the larger churches have very active singles groups) and lots of other opportunities to meet people like the grocery, Market Square, etc.
I get the meet up emails Hik referenced but havent participated in any of those activities yet.
